Happy Holidays from YCS-LINKS. Here is the latest newsletter.
Yadkin County Schools will operate on a two hour delay tomorrow, Wednesday, December 4.
Most of the roads in Yadkin County are fairly clear, but we still have a few small patches on backroads in certain areas of the county that will refreeze tonight. DOT has heavily salted those areas, so we feel confident that they will be safe to travel after daylight. With temperatures falling into the teens tonight, we want to take precautions, so YCS will operate on a two-hour delay for students and staff, tomorrow, Wednesday, December 4. Out of School Time will operate on a normal schedule.
After continuing to monitor the roads, Yadkin County Schools will be CLOSED for students on Tuesday, December 3 with an optional teacher workday for staff. Out of School Time will open at 7:30am.
Most of the roads in Yadkin County are okay, but we have several roads in the
southern and eastern sides of the county that are still snow-covered and/or have
black ice on them. With temperatures not rising above freezing until after 10:00,
we do not want to take any chances.
The two-hour delay is still in effect for staff. If you choose to come to work,
please be safe. Thank you and have a good day! Be safe!

We are thrilled to announce that the talented author, Dan Gutman, paid a special virtual visit to our 3rd-grade students at Yadkinville Elementary School last week! 🌟 The atmosphere was buzzing with enthusiasm as our young readers had the incredible opportunity to meet and engage with the creative mind behind some of their favorite books.
